Limited and Special Edition Landscape Photography Prints in Dorset

Dorset Landscape Photography Prints

After a few years working on my photography portfolio, I am super excited to offer a very limited set of landscape photography prints for sale. They include a few of my personal favourites from my adventures across Dorset and the Jurassic Coast.

Why I Print my Photographs

After five years since picking up my first camera, and three years after getting into landscape photography, I feel like I have got to a point where I am happy to offer prints for sale . Up until this point, I have only been printing for myself or for someone who has messaged me asking for print of a particular picture I shared on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. I felt this wasn’t really reflecting my experience of capturing my photographs, it was a bad feeling that the final product wasn’t reflecting who I am or what I am about as a landscape photographer. Therefore, I have spent the past few weeks selecting a set of images that I want to offer as limited, some even special, edition prints that will be limited to 30 and 25 retrospectively.

Each print is signed, numbered, and hand picked from my portfolio. The print size will vary depending on the ratio of the final photograph because I keep the original aspect ratio intended for that image. The final print will come with a 15mm white border on the top, left and right, with a 25mm white border on the bottom for signing and numbering. This also makes it easier when your framer is mounting.

I would highly recommend that if you buy a print to get framed, please do not buy a standard A3/A2/A1 frame as you may find the image will not fit as intended. This is due to the slight trimming of each print to ensure that I keep the same aspect ratio I intended for that image. If you are looking for a frame, there are plenty of local framers who specialise in mounting and framing custom prints such as these, and I would please suggest you try and support local businesses as much as possible. It will then be your choice if you choose to have the edition number and signature on show, or hidden behind a mount.

My Process for Printing Photographs

Over the past few months, I have been testing multiple papers for my selected images, everything from your high-glosses, silks, matte and textured. I feel that for the type of landscapes I like to capture, a matte, textured paper works best as it brings each image to life, making it pop from the paper and have a very “painterly” feel.

My paper of choice is therefore NST Bright White 315 by Fotospeed, a beautiful paper that has a lovely texture while still having a true white base that does not give any colour cast to the original image. Accompanied with Canon Lucia Pro Pigment Inks, the final photograph is printed to the highest-quality and really must be seen in person to be appreciated. I can’t thank Andy and Carlo at Fine Art Inkorporated enough for the incredible printing service and being my go-to printers for all my landscape photography prints.

Finishing Touches

I want to make the experience of buying one of my limited or special edition prints an experience to remember, not just the opening of a brown envelope with a print hidden inside and nothing else - after all, each of these prints mean so much to me, they are a moment in time where I experienced something magical. Therefore, you will receive the print in a black presentation box with a certificate of authenticity and story card, this includes the story behind the picture and how it was taken. Please note that all A2 and A1 prints will be sent in a tube rather than a presentation box, this is to try and prevent any damage in transit.

The Print

Each landscape photography print is signed, numbered, and hand picked from my portfolio to become a set of limited edition prints. The print size will vary depending on the ratio of the final photograph because I keep the original aspect ratio intended for that image. The final print will come with a 15mm white border on the top, left and right, with a 25mm white border on the bottom for signing and numbering. This also makes it easier when your framer is mounting.

You will receive the print in a black presentation box with a certificate of authenticity, this includes a little story behind the picture and how it was taken. All A2 and A1 prints will be sent in a tube rather than a presentation box, this is to try and prevent any damage in transit.
